Understanding Traffic Congestion via Network Analysis, Agent Modeling, and the Trajectory of Urban Expansion: A Coastal City Case

The study of patterns urban mobility is utter importance for city growth projection and development planning. In this paper, we analyze the topological aspects street network coastal Cartagena de Indias employing graph theory spatial syntax tools. We find that resulting can be understood on basis 400 years city’s history its peripheral location strongly influenced shaped city, statistical properties resemble those self-organized cities.
